Church Yard Sale in October

Hit a great Church yard sale a couple Saturdays ago. The kids and I spent an hour having so much fun looking through all the toys. There are a couple not even in the pictures. But everything was $.50 or $1. We got some books, shoes, costumes and toys. The ride on toys are going to make some wonderful gifts.

Visit With Grandmother

We were able to visit Joshua's Grandmother this past weekend which was so wonderful. The kids enjoyed the visit and the trip was not bad at all. We were able to go to a special fall dinner at a Church nearby and have some hymn singing!!!

A Big Group of Children 4 and Under

Last week we had to go to a nearby town to pick up some chicken and it was a perfect time to meet up with friends!!! We had quite the group of little children!

Thomas Road Baptist Church's Play Cove is so fun!
Sister in law Amy and nephew Asher
Do you know how hard it is to get 11 children to all look at a camera? Pretty much impossible!

3-2-1 Year Old (Toddler) Photo Shoot

My wonderful sister Beth took some pictures for me a couple weeks before Gideon turned four! I wanted to memoralize the fact that I had three children three and under. So I made some really simple numbers out of felt and sewed them on some shirts. The photo shoot was terribly hard as the kids did not want to cooperate--except Tirzah. So we did the best we could and Beth got some great shots! I love these children the Lord has blessed with me!

Trip to Lancaster

As part of Gideon's birthday celebration and an excuse to finally visit my aunt and uncle we took a trip up to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
We drove among the Amish
Admired their clotheslines
Visited a Train Museum
Where they have a steam locomotive you can ride...sadly we couldn't that day.
But it was fun to watch steam in and out
We bought some local fresh made root beer
And pumpkins for $1
The main reason for being there was to see the Sight and Sound production of Noah which was spectacular! You got to be inside the ark with lots of animals--live as well as fake.
My family was also up there to see the sights and play
We had so much fun!
The other thing we saw while we were up there was a life size replica of the Tabernacle...it was quite amazing and had a wonderful tour. Well worth seeing if you're up there.

October Yard Sale Shopping

I've actually been quite successful the past couple weeks at yard sales. I only hit one or two good ones but sometimes that is all you need. This was a few weeks ago when I stopped at two yard sales. I got a exersaucer for $5 and sold it for $20. I also got a ride on car that Chloe loves, a potty, princess dresser, learning table for $3 and sold it for $10. So fun yard sales that I took the girls to with me.

Fall Decorations and a Swap

I have loved the coming of fall this year...beautiful change in colors, crisp mornings and a couple nights ago we got to start our woodstove up!
I participated in a fall swap this month and this is the box I put together! Doesn't it look deliciously like fall?
This is the photo frame I made of our local small pinecones
I made these adorable little leaves into a little banner
So easy to make them out of construction paper
Swap box I got in return.

Paving on Our Road

So the past couple weeks we have had our road repaved which has made for some excitement for the kids. They have loved watching all the gigantic trucks go up and down the road...talking to pavers...and just general fun learning about what the trucks do.

Mommies and Daddies are just as fascinated. I loved being down there watching what everyone was up to myself...some things you just don't grow out of and you should always have a desire to learn new things.
