Swap Time Update

So I just sent out this month's swap package and the theme was baking. So I put my favorite breakfast cake recipe along with the cake mix, pudding mix, walnuts, new green spatulas and some chocolate to eat while baking! I'll let you know what I get in the mail...

Here is what I got in the mail last month from the lovely Anne: a beautiful scarf and flip flops, recipes, trivet, chocolate, notebook and sweet note. It was a GREAT package!

Storytime at the Library

We have an amazing new library that is quite huge! It has a coffee shop, a theatre and a wonderful children's area! This year I have started taking Gideon and Tirzah to their storytime which they do every couple months for 5 weeks at a time. The kids love it! They are read books by Miss Tara, get to do little bits of singing and a craft. These few weeks have been on colors which has been fun! They made a butterfly for the color orange and for this week Grandma got to come too. After storytime they pick out books and movies and then play with the puppets, puzzles and train tables and look at books. It is a wonderful time of the week.

Prodigal Cat Returns?

Last week we had a cat show up that looks suspiciously like our little kitten that ran away over a year ago...has it returned? I'm not sure but I will say that the kids are ecstatic to have a cat! We have yet to officially name it anything other than kitty I think because we are afraid it will not stay. Meanwhile we enjoy the fact that it is here and loves the kids! A Walk Up Memory Mountain...

This past week our family was able to go hiking with my sister Beth, my nephew Isaiah and long time friend Daniel. We hiked up Buffalo Mountain which has special meaning to Joshua and I as it is where he asked me to marry him! (If you want to see pictures from then--http://divided-heart.xanga.com/670354848/i-get-to-marry-the-love-of-my-life/ and yes Joshua is wearing the same shirt in both pictures because he calls that shirt his Buffalo Mountain shirt.) We haven't been up the mountain since right before Gideon was born. It was challenging hiking it with three little children but they were all troopers and did great! We made it to the top which has an amazing 360 view! We had a picnic up there and enjoyed all the rocks to climb!

Yard Sale Week 4

So this past week we all went out yard sale shopping again. I love having Joshua come with me...he's such a good sport. So I found for ourselves a great children's fold out couch that looks like a little chair. It will be great to travel with so that the kids have something to sleep on. Tirzah is in love with it!

As far as things to resell. I found that tool bench for $5 and have already sold it for $15. The two booster seats I am keeping one and selling the other. I got them each for $2. I also found that cute little phone that works for $.25. I also found the little portable bed for $3.I also picked up a beautiful girl pack n play bassinet for $20 which is a steal. I gave it to my in-laws but may still sell it for a lot more if they don't need it.

Update from last week. I did sell the shopping cart and food for $10 making $6. I also sold a little leap frog leapster I got for $1 last year for $4 yesterday.

Big Changes for our Little House

The big day has come that we have moved all three children into the same room. Chloe is just too big for her bassinet so we have moved her up to the crib--she sleeps great in there! We had a futon in the room that Gideon has been sleeping on but Tirzah and Gideon in the same bed made for long nights where they weren't going to sleep. So we have moved up to bunk beds!!!It actually made more space in the room which is nice as we seem to accumulate lots of toys! But I'm happy to let them play with things then get rid of them...So far sleeping arrangements have been good. We are still training them to go to sleep but they all go to sleep pretty well together. So three kids in a room!
