April Snow Showers?

So as a final thrust of winter's grasp we got a snow storm last Thursday...all five inches of snow...in April! The weathermen didn't even hint that there could be snow so we were completely surprised! However Gideon and Tirzah loved having another soft snow that melted by mid-morning the next day. So here are some last snow pictures for the year I hope!

I love where we live...this past week on "spring break" we got a little snow fall of six to seven inches! But the roads were still clear and it melted within a couple days and yet we could still sled! It was beautiful...still I hope it is the last and spring is on the way!!!

Best Snow Bear Ever...Who Needs Snowmen?

So my wonderful husband and son went out in the snow we got last week and built a snow bear, who needs snowmen? Aren't snow bears so much cuter? Maybe it will scare off whatever gets into our trash which may very well be a black bear...

This wound up being one of the best snows we have had. The snow was perfect for sledding and making snow ice cream and snowballs! We all had so much fun outside and in over the weekend. We still have some lingering snow around and there is snow in the upcoming week forecast but for now life goes on.

Snow Ice cream is not hard to make all we did was get a bowl full of fresh snow and then add a little vanilla, 1/2 cup of sugar and then milk till it was fluffy and kept tasting it and adding things till it was right!!! It was quite delicious!

Some Snow Pictures

At last having a snow this winter was wonderful for me...it didn't mess up the roads and it made everything look beautiful and it spelled the end of winter to me...I don't know if there will be more snow but I'm hoping for spring...it feels like spring and I'm ready for spring. However here are some pictures of Tirzah's first snow and Gideon really enjoying the snow now that he is older. We got 8 inches and had lots of fun!
