Gideon's 4th Birthday Party: Construction Theme

Gideon turned four last month! Can hardly believe it myself. Except that he is so smart and growing so quickly...he adds quickly in his head, almost has the alphabet down, counts well and loves God which is most important! He also loves to push Tirzah's buttons. The other day in the van we were meeting someone to sell something and Gideon is talking to Tirzah and suddenly says, "we're going to sell you Tirzah!" Instant "no!" and whining from Tirzah...so funny! He loves to have Bible time in the evenings and retains everything he learns. That is most important to us that Gideon grows up loving the Lord!

We did celebrate with a construction themed birthday party that was lots of fun!
Best cake ever...doesn't matter what it looks like as you're going to destroy it anyway!

Game the family played where you throw the bean bag into the trucks...or try to...

Tirzah's 2nd Cow Birthday Party

My sweet little Tirzah is a big two years old now! Hard to believe!! We decided to celebrate in a theme of cows which was a lot of fun. Joshua made an amazing pin the tail on the cow which I am glad he did because my version would have been a stick cow...I made the cake and a few decorations!!!

Joshua totally drew this amazing cow for pin the tail on the cow! Isn't he amazing?
Gideon's progression of playing pin the tail is quite funny...he starts out blindfolded
But has to check...notice Uncle Brandon saying, you can't do that Gideon...
See, this is where it goes...

My cow cake!

Chloe with her cake and ice cream

So guess what candle I couldn't find? The number she was turning...so Gideon and Tirzah wanted as many as possible...

My cow cups and tablecloth...they don't make those, but they are easy to make yourself...

Gideon's Third Birthday Party

Gideon really loves trains so I decided to throw a family birthday party with the train theme. It was fun, we had picked up a big board that had wooden train tracks screwed onto it for young kids to play with trains so that was going to be Gideon's present along with some trains. Gideon helped me make and put together his train cake which I LOVED putting together, this is as creative as I get...and then I also let Gideon help me paint some boxes that he got to use as a train. It was fun and everyone was so wonderful to come and help us celebrate! I love our family on both sides!

Joshua's 30th Birthday Party

We had a wonderful celebration of Joshua's birthday on Monday. We had over many friends and grilled some chicken for delicious fajitas. We had fresh salsa and a yummy mango salsa that is very spicy but the sweetness just makes an incredible combination. We ate and played outside, the little ones running around and the older ones playing corn hole. We had strawberry pies and sang happy birthday. Sadly I don't have a lot of pictures as my camera is halfway broken so sometimes it works and sometimes if doesn't. Later we played Paplitos (little slips of paper) which is a hilarious game of telephone on paper...it makes for quite a few laughs. Joshua also got his big birthday present that many contributed to (thank you everyone) yesterday--an ipad! He was having fun exploring it yesterday...so Joshua has left his 20's behind him and ventured into the 30s...he doesn't look it and he's accomplished quite a bit! Happy Birthday Joshua!

My Mother's Birthday Tea

My Mother celebrated her birthday last week and since I was in town I was able to plan a birthday tea with my sisters. We had a wonderful spread of food, lovely ladies that came to celebrate and lots of little babies and toddlers to make the day beautiful! Here are a few pictures...
